Below is a reference letter for me to apply for scholarship of HK Polytechnic University. It's written on my own, on the behalf of my former school principal.. Well, because of this letter, I slept at 3.00am and didn't have my breakfast this morning... Damn it!! Aha, as a result, a reference letter full of EXAGERRATIONS is produced at 1.00pm this afternoon.. Well, feel free to take a look..!! But, prepare yourself a basin before proceeding...
CHONG WAH SHENG
A current high-school graduate, Wah Sheng is an individual of virtue, a student of numerous achievements and has a heart of sincerity. No matter doing what, he pays every single ounce of himself without knowing to give up. Endowed with great talents and intelligence, he is yet studious and hardworking. He always pays attention in class and hands in his homework on time (Nah, this part is totally fake!! In fact I'm quite "prestigious" in handing in homework late, or even not handing in at all. & I always day-dream, talk, sleep or rush for my homework during classes.. lolz..). Besides, having a courteous and outgoing nature, he gets along very well with his teachers and schoolmates.
Wah Sheng’s exceptional academic achievements include a straight A1 (9A1) in the UEC exam and 11A (10A1, 1A2, 1B3) in SPM. In 2003, he achieved a Distinction in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC). In 2004, he was awarded Bronze Award in the Singapore Mathematical Olympiads, Bronze Award in the Malaysian National Physics Competition, and a Credit Certificate in the AMC. In 2005, in his last time of participating in AMC, his effort finally paid off when he earned himself a highly-complimented High Distinction Certificate. Besides, he won a group 2nd runner-up and an individual consolation prize in the Hua Lo-Keng Cup Secondary School Mathematics Competition. Despite possessing all these academic awards, he is yet modest (Sometimes I'd be quite arrogant.. Honestly, you can never associate the word "modest" with me) and always willing to help his schoolmates.
While maintaining his excellent academic performance, Wah Sheng was the Chairman of the school Geography Society in the year of 2005. He shows great confidence, independence and responsibility in handling tasks. Moreover, he is decisive and never holds back. In fact, he managed his society well and held a number of activities such as a trip to Sekenjang & Kuala Selangor and a Geography general knowledge competition. Eventually, he succeeded in leading his society to a merit award from the school co-curricular activities department. No doubt, all the facts strongly manifest his outstanding leadership.
Last but not least, as an energetic youth with full enthusiasm, he took part in various sports and games, including chess, sports, general knowledge, debate and even singing, competitions. In 2003, he was chosen to participate in the 1st Chong Hwa Chinese Forum. In 2005, he became a school debate representative. At the end of the year, to his glory, he was elected as a student representative to deliver a speech during the graduation ceremony.
Wah Sheng possesses great interest in Biotechnology, particularly in Genetics, Microorganisms and Immunology. He has a strong will to perform inventions which might impact the world and benefit mankind, such as inventing some new medicine which is able to cure all the dreadful diseases, including AIDS, Cancer, SARS, Avian Flu, etc. He has faith in himself that he might achieve his dreams in the future.
Wah Sheng is really an adorably wholesome student. I therefore strongly recommend him to apply for scholarship to study Applied Biology with Biotechnology in Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Hmph.. how is it? Finish vomiting? Haha, actually I also can't believe that I'd write out such a thing.. But, for my future, for my own good, no choice la.. =P
